About Karma Jets

Karma Jets is founded on one very simple principle:  meeting our clients' every need while making the world a better place.

The History

In recent years, private jets have been taking flak from a number of corners.  Political observers were unhappy when automotive executives flew by private jet to collect their bailout money in 2008, while environmentalists have decried private jets as environmentally irresponsible.

Here at Karma Jets, we know that private jet travel is an indispensable part of the global economy. For instance, there are 5,300 public-use airports in the United States alone, and fewer than 11% of them are served by commercial airlines.  For corporate flyers who need access to remote areas or foreign countries at a moment's notice, it's the only solution.  And for private clients with the means to travel in this way, it's a luxury and convenience that's been earned with years of hard work. Still, conscientious flyers have admitted that they wished for a "greener" alternative.  Now there is one.

The Concept

Founder Taylor Brown saw the opportunity to revolutionize the industry through carbon-offsetting.  Airlines in the past had offered flyers the ability to purchase (somewhat dubious) carbon offset vouchers and certificates, but he did not want the onus to fall upon the consumer.  He wanted to create a company that took this responsibility into its own hands.  It was this point that Karma Jets, The Low Carbon Jet Charter Service, was born.  We calculate the carbon footprint of each client's flight, and then we plant the appropriate number of trees to offset those emissions.  So you can fly comfortably, knowing that you're giving back to the environment by booking through us.  Hey, it's good karma!
